Running to, r-r-r-running
Simon Mayo
Presenter
Cloudy Friday here, banana, spinach and blueberries to thrill the soul (whilst dreaming of sourdough toast with peanut butter and marmite). I’ve just been told it’s time to be thinking of half term when I thought the little darlings had only just gone back. Keep up Mayo.
One day at time (thanks Lena Martel).
Double show joy! Movies with Emily Blunt talking The Girl On The Train (old Book Club choice) and Mary Poppins, then we can get the weekend up and running with some ALL REQUEST FRIDAY ACTION I’D LIKE SPENCER DAVIS PLEASE SIMON. You know how it goes. And 1992 seems a top place to start. CDs and cassettes are wiping out vinyl, with WH Smiths saying they won’t sell 45s and LPs any more (3 cheers for the 45!), a young chap called Graham Norton debuts at the Edinburgh Fringe and at the movies we are off to Wayne’s World, Aladdin and The Bodyguard.
And on the radio? You want WHAT?
Happy weekend y’all!
