She's a sad tomato

Well that was quite a day. Starting with the arrival of a radio car outside my house to talk to 5Live about Terry, then to Westminster Abbey. If you caught any of it, I'm sure you'll agree it was a moving, funny and beautiful service. Katie Melua and Peter Gabriel's songs were stunning, Chris's words and Joanna Lumley's poem were compelling. I was sitting with Bob Harris, Mark Goodier and Paul Gambaccini, alongside Aled Jones, Gloria Hunniford, Chris Tarrant and Steve Wright. Make up artists, engineers, management and fans filled the pews to give Terry, I thought, a grand send off.

And who knows what blog fun and games await today. Who knows if it'll all be working? Apologies for any blog-rage being suffered...

So today then with 1) a trip to the dentist and once it has all worn off, 2) Drivetime with Marc Almond as our guest with a box set of 10 CDs telling his story. That's right it's 10 CDs with songs over 4 decades. It's all called Trials of Eyeliner and hear Marc after 6.

So.....it's MAKEUP oldies boys and girls! Hooray!

Blog comments will be available here in future. Find out more.
