Part One, page one….

Happy Tuesday/tuuuunesday to you all. I’m supposed to be reading the new Harper Lee book but instead I’m blogging this. Talking to Sara C in a minute about Go Set A Watchman which came out at midnight and was embargoed till 5am this morning. Matt and I got copies last night and it is HIS job to read it all by 5pm. He is the fastest reader I know, completing entire R2Book Club selections in one tube journey. I, on the other hand, am the slowest reader I know so I’m happy to let Matt take the strain here (and I have important lunches to attend). I don’t know if there were actually queues in book shops but there’s no doubting the buzz around the discovery of this 60 year old story. I tried reading it ostentatiously on the way home but everyone was too busy playing games on their phone to take any notice. But READING ALL NIGHT songs will get the juices flowing on the way to another selection of tuuuunes (not an ad for cough sweets).

Now if you will just stop calling I might turn a page
