If there is silence at any stage in tonights show then it may well be that I have fallen asleep. It is unlikely frankly due to the adrenalin rush of top hits and chat with excited folk but the news is a dangerous time. And travel. Anytime that doesn't involve me talking, I'll be gone. 2 bad nights equals trouble ahead. Wouldn't get away with Telegraph Road tonight!
First hurdle is Thor 2 this morning. It'll be rude but when the lights go down in the screening room, my eyes will close and Asgard can crash all it likes, it won't trouble me. My chat with Tom Hiddleston who plays Loki will be fun. Then the movie show on 5L with Dame Judi Dench talking about the wonderful Philomena. Interviewing Dame Judi is like interviewing royalty-she graces your show with her presence and is a delight always. T
Then it's our ARF and we need to focus on 1969 for our opener. Harold Wilson, Spacehoppers, Concorde, QE2, Tommy and Pot Black. And your host is at St John's Primary in Croydon where he is a gold star reader. My finest achievement so far.
Have a lively and dazzling Friday, see you after 5.
