You Sure Look Fine

Anyone get the title ref? Anyway, we are off. Another week here on the Drivetime beckons and many lovely goodies on the way. Deep Purple tomorrow! The Eagles next week (well 2 of them)! This all sounds rather fine to me. Hope the weekend was tip-top. We visited child 1in Manchester and spent the day on the train/eating chips/walking in sunshine/urban geocacheing/hoping for 3 points. Visiting your student offspring is still a weird one I think.College days leave such an impression that to see your child doing the same thing is quite unsettling. And have you seen how young students are these days? When did that happen? I remember (guiltily) my parents driving me up to university and then, while they unpacked, goingt to see Spurs play Coventry. Hmm. I'm sure they understood really.



Book club time. International best-seller Harlen Coben is on today with his latest fast and furious novel 'Six Years'. It's a suspenseful thriller about a college lecturer who sees the love of his marry someone else for no reason. The 'someone else' then dies (6 years later), he goes to the funeral to find the widow is someone else entirely. And it all gets weirder from there.
