Tough guy

I had a healthy breakfast with me for yesterday's Sting recording and then spilt my porridge in the studio. Which, I believe, made me look like a chump. Sting had some honey and water for his and he kept control of it fine. And managed to sound rather good I thought. It was fascinating how his geordie accent was so pronounced and how he says he only uses i t when he's singing a folk song or he's angry. And his kids think of it as his 'angry' voice. Sounded excellent to me.

Today we have best selling author Lee Child, creator of Jack Reacher with us. Very tall Jack is now being played-somewhat controversially- by very short Tom Cruise in the movies but the books are the powerhouse here selling 70 million copies worldwide. He's created a tough guy that men love and women seem to enjoy too. A smart guy! His new book is Never Go Back and he'll be on from 6.

And how about SCHOOL DINNER oldies, now that all kids at English primary schools are going to get them for free (nothing is free of course- but you know what I mean). Let the music flow like semolina and stodgy custard.
