Jubilations?

Cloudy, grey and cold around the estate but sunny, fabulous and warm on the show! And on Radio 2 where all these Cliff songs are sounding rather fabulous. Happy 75th Cliff and I hope you had a fabulous day. What a discography (as no one says)! The Young Ones was great yesterday and Chris playing Carrie And We Don’t Talk Anymore is yet another reminder about his extraordinary back catalogue (that’s better). I still think he could do another huge album -a Johnny Cash/Neil Diamond stripped down-style album-and I have told him so! But he’s not interested so that’s that and on with the party. So Nige today for another Foody Thursday and just when we had got used to the mid-week TV charm, modesty, gentleness and camaraderie of Bake Off, along comes some more Apprentice. Stuffed full of people you’d avoid at a party and they’re back tonight! Twice as much ego, power dressing and ambition! . But APPRENTICE oldies always seems entirely justified...
