The envelope of stress

A Levels day again? Already? Wasn't it just last year when we got ours? The memory of that envelope still makes me tremble. If yours is an A level house, I hope all the surprises are good ones. It is FAR WORSE being the parent on days like these. Child 1 and child 2 were comparatively calm in comparison with parent 1 and parent 2. Although there is a ton of good advice out there, at the moment of the opening, you just need to have the right letters against the right subjects. Exams are one thing but if you can get an A in grit, guts and determination and an A in positivity that counts for loads too (though 'loads' is rather vague I realise). We won't have another pressurised August for a couple of years. I shall enjoy the calm.
Foody Fursday again with Nigel in France while his mackerel in the studio. I'm not sure how we are doing this but all will be well, even if it will be a bit fishy, Matt will disappear 'checking on his guest' and Jo W won't be happy...
And I think songs for HIGHER EDUCATION are unavoidable today. Balance and wisdom not necessary.
