Woke to thunderous rain after a night of thunderstorms, hardly doing much to calm my nerves. So much to do and a change of clothes may well need packing. Because the film show wouldn’t get much air time tomorrow, Wittertainment gets moved to today. We have the added attraction of NOT BEING ABOUT THE NEWS which is useful. However, due to a lack of studios we have to do the show from the BBC’s Westminster studios in Milbank which is ALL ABOUT THE NEWS. However it’ll be full of journos going crazy because they can’t go on the air until 10pm.
Then it's a taxi bike (please let it be dry) to R2 for some very welcome food. Nigel is preparing one of those dishes that says everything in the title. Roast lamb breast with fennel seeds, orange and sumac. There may well be other ingredients but that's not a bad start.
And yesterday we had a three-worder ‘won mum’s race’, a reminder of the SCHOOL SPORTS DAYS which are well and truly on at the moment. Ah the joys of the parents' race, no pressure, no shame, no embarrassment at all. It’s the taking part, the showing willing and the pulled hamstring because you didn’t warm up, that matters most. So SPORTS DAY oldies if you have a moment in your busy schedule please...
