A Final Flourish

Damp, cloudy, autumnal. Dreich indeed (spellcheck needs to get with some Old Scots dialect). Splendid times in the tent last night with not just the live show but also a Book Club special with a live-streamed chat with 3 authors who we have featured on the show. John Boyne, Kate Mosse and Joseph Boyden were all fascinating and insightful and John and Kate read exclusive extracts from their new books. If you missed the streaming, it'll be posted on our web pages soon.
Then we had a curry and Sara Cox came along for a free papadum. Edinburgh is full of delightful surprises. Today we offer you the one and only Tim Vine who has won the 'best gag in Edinburgh' again. I'll let him tell it...His confession was a riot last year and his Timtimtinee Timtimtinee Tim Tim To You show is a sell out. So LAUGHTER oldies please!
Also one of the world's most sought after violinists, Nicola Benedetti, some Thursday food from Michelin starred local man Tom Kitchin and a confession from the splendid comedian Jason Byrne. Holly Walsh will be in too, seeking the warmth and dryness of the BBC's Big Blue Tent. Oh yes and some more splendid British country from Ward Thomas which will ensure we leave Edinburgh with a spring in our step and our stetson at a jaunty angle.
