Boiler has broken, and I can only assume that it's in cahoots with Matt's. Just because he's turned his heating on, mine has decided to break down. And just in time for the first frost of the season. (Cold, frustrated face emoji). Welcome to Monday!

Today is a Book Club day with Laura Purcell's The Silent Companions, a gothic tale on the eve of Halloween (Halloweeneen?) Unsurprisingly, these silent companions - painted wooden figures that look like you do- aren't enormously reassuring. There's a chapter right here to set you up for the night.

And we have a visit from the one and only Nile Rogers tonight ahead of the Chic show tonight. On a Monday! Such decadence! So DISCO oldies please, either dance classics or glitter ball/sequins/flares and big hair songs if you wouldn't mind.
