It’s gonna be a big one

Early morning birds singing in the dark here, so I’m pretending it’s Spring for a few hours at least. Lots of fun with Jools and Jamie last night around Elton’s piano. It was one of those grand radio moments where two extravagantly gifted artists bumped into each other and shared a mutual love of 1) the piano, 2) Billy Joel. And I’m just about to download last night’s Jamie/Billy special for my such-fun journey into work. Three cheers for technology!

Michael Rosen, author, poet, prof of children’s literature and beard of the year nominee is in today and we are all going on a bear hunt (we’re not scared). We loved his story book in 1989, read it over and over, loved the illustrations by Helen Oxenbury and now Channel 4 have an animated version for Christmas Eve. Joyful!

And songs, if you are in the mood for sharing, for THE FESTIVE OFFICE PARTY. Photocopier, stationery cupboard, Mr Jones from Accounts etc
