Still gearing up

...and knowing that everyone will LOVE Monday. A few will have tans and be rested but most will have the haunted 'call-that-a-break?' look. Think I'll go in on Sunday night to miss the fun.

Made a dash from the show to see David Tennant in Richard II at the Barbican in London. Knew it would be tricky-it's a traffic light-filled trek across town and curtain up was 7.15. Sure enough i was a late arrival, waiting with the other tardy theatre goers to be admitted at the scene change and be tutted at as we scramble over legs, bags and ice cream tubs. But it was worth it-DT is fantastic. The whole production was spectacular but David's fey, aristocratic Richard was the highlight. And surprisingly funny too-is that usual? Is R2 supposed to be funny? Realised I had no idea about the story either and was assuming it would all be fine for our David in the end (spoiler alert) how wrong can you be?

Anyway enough luvvie chat. Let's ARFO with 1977. And if Richard Allinson wants Rick Dees he'll have to call in...
