Morning all.
A fine sunny morning on the estate highlighting the appalling state of the grass and the shabbiness of the trampoline. And everything else. More snow please.
A jolly fine weekend, taken up largely-as you may have realised- with the event in London for Itch Rocks. Never having sold out a theatre before, a few nerves I think about which sections to read and what people will think etc but it was great fun and terrific to meet so many readers and bloggers in the queue afterwards.
These events have a great mix of families/Radio 2 listeners/kids who like explosions and when I'm not sure about how many of these books to do, it always encourages me to see if there's another story tucked away somewhere. Which there had better be. We all remember books we read when we were 12, so to meet some excited 12 year olds, brimful of questions, is a very fine way to spend a Saturday.
On other matters...There is a much discussed subject on Twitter about the need for an icon/hashtag/thing that indicates the use of irony/sarcasm. Without it, some comments can be misinterpreted. The backwards question mark has been used in the past so lets try this from Friday: ⸮ I put all that effort into writing a 3 worder for the Facebookers and then it's all re-touched and defaced for amorous purposes. I mean a man has his dignity ⸮ Is that clearer? I'm not sure but certainly no offence taken of course. And as for that other little rumbling...well maybe civility and calmness will be restored today.

And oldies please on the subject of TELEPATHY. Yes it's true. Scientists are working on a 'brain to brain interface' which makes telepathic communication possible. It's not April 1 but stuff from The Annual Meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Science. So there. TELEPATHIC tunes please will see us through nicely.
