Up and out. This is good. Young people are all jogging and jiving at this hour so if you snooze you loose. And there's work to be done for heavens sake. A weekend of lightweight, ephemeral entertainment needs to stop sometime. A play, a movie and a comedy show is pretty good going for me even if the week begins with just the hint of a weary show-biz trudge...
The comedy, by the way, was from recent guest Clive Anderson at Whose Line Is It Anyway, the live West End version in London. Half way through, my head started to hurt from laughing too much-I don't think this has happened before. Top work all round.
Today we welcome former Olympic champion, Tour de France record holder and bike designer Chris Boardman MBE. To me he was the beginning of this country's domination of cycling, the first Brit to really revolutionise the sport here. If you really love your bike, you'll love Chris and his sumptuous biography of the bike. Design, engineering, sport and very small saddles. Haven't done BIKES on the oldies for a while-who's got something ingenious/sophisticated/not bad for us?
If there's a gear ratio song out there I'm sure you'll find it....
