I admit that I’m cold. I admit that I was tempted to put the central heating on. I admit that there was a moment of annoyance as yet more clouds rolled in, dumping their payload on us. But then I put a jumper on, made some coffee and switched on the lights. Sorted. Memories of beach hut holidays, wet towels, powdered soup with lumpy bits in the bottom, compulsory cinema attendance (always Herbie Rides Again), damp sleeping bags, swimming costumes that won’t dry and checking the temperatures around the world. Happy days!
Last night a family trip to Inside Out the new Pixar movie. I loved it. Thought it very profound, wise and funny. Not particularly for kids though-it isn’t Monsters Inc or Toy Story. Younger viewers may well wonder all the fuss was about but older ones will be absorbed. It manages to be in turns sad, scary, silly and laugh-out-loud funny-recommended (and more available than Herbie Rides Again).
