Super Friday is here (not an official thing, just a possibility really). I have dried out after yesterdays soaking. The walk from the Spurs ground to the tube is ridiculous, takes for ever and can be a cheerless experience, particularly if, as used to happen, you’re being chased by opposing fans. Last night’s non-stop rain meant that it was just as well the result was a good one, or the 'drowned-rat' look would have been clashing with the ‘miserable fan’ look. As it was we would have been dancing in the rain if the puddles hadn’t become lakes and a touch of early-onset influenza urged caution.
Anyway suitably restored and no sign of the sniffles returning, onwards to glory etc. Movie show with Tina Fey talking Sisters and how you get over the problem of opening at the same time as Star Wars. I think they’ll manage it somehow-check out their spoof ‘The Farce Awakens’ and you’ll see what I mean.
And ARF kicking off with 1981 as our opening year of requirement. Shergar wins the Derby, Spurs win the FA Cup (more controlled dancing) and I am a 1981 Census worker, knocking on Worthing doors and asking folk to fill in the form or there’ll be trouble (I don’t quite put it like that). And songs? Well what do you fancy?
Have a top weekend...
