Lambs-a- leaping

Watford Gap. A mist covers the multi story carpark and moss is creeping over the graffiti strewn, crumbling walls by our platform. This will be a glamorous day. 600 kids and 22 schools await at the other end (hello Upton on Severn!) and I deserve this extra bacon roll so there. Bristol was beautiful yesterday and I certainly didn't spend most of it fuming about how it can be right to make a passenger buy a completely new ticket if they're on the wrong train. No that would be childish and immature (but since you mention it, why not charge a supplement or pay the difference? Eh?)

Moving on...

Today's lovely show features all your usual favourites with the exciting addition of Dermot O'Leary. His Saturday show is a one of those radio delights when you never can be too sure what's coming next (an extensive sonic palate you might say) and I find Dermot a beguiling host. On tv he has the perfect combination of being able to do the Saturday shiny floor show brilliantly while at the same time letting you think he'd rather be at home listening to Florence and the Machine. It's enough to make you sick really.

And songs for today? Well I was waiting for the weather to turn but we might be here till July. The ants are on the march, the buds are coming out anyway and it's the first day of spring. So SPRING oldies it is and to hell with the weather and the budget and the pricing structure of rail travel.

Have a cheery and blooming Wednesday, see you after 5
