Laura McMonagle, who plays Zoe, has announced that she's leaving River City. Laura told us, "I've really enjoyed my time on the show but I've been there for almost four years and want to try new things". She's now signed up with an agent in London so, after leaving Shieldinch, she'll be spending a bit of time travelling between Glasgow and London, and is excited about the new opportunities that await her. The TV team are sorry to see her go - she's been a great asset to the show and they wish her well in her future career. Laura doesn't yet know what her exit will be but hopes it'll be something really dramatic. However, she wants to assure you that she's not running out the door immediately! Zoe will be on screen until the end of the year. After all, she's got plenty happening on screen at the moment. We're just dying to see Ruth's face when she finds out her new best friend is the cause of her husband's STD...
