Special screening announcement

Amy Thurgood

River City’s 10 year anniversary is almost upon us and to celebrate there will be two special episodes on Tuesday 18 September and Tuesday 25 September on BBC One Scotland. However, we are offering the chance for you and one friend to see those episodes at BBC Scotland an hour before anyone else sees them, and meet some of the cast from the drama. All you need to do is email your name, age (you must be over 18) and daytime telephone number to scotland.events@bbc.co.uk. You have from today until Wednesday 5 September and if you are successful, you will be contacted by Friday 7 September.

Here is the information for applicants:

  • Applicants must be over 18
  • One entry per person, duplicate entries will be disregarded
  • Applications should be made by emailing scotland.events@bbc.co.uk before 7pm on Wednesday 5 September 2012, stating full name, daytime contact number, and confirming applicant is over 18
  • The date and time stamp on the received email to scotland.events@bbc.co.uk will be treated as final
  • It is not possible to specify which date of screening to attend, applicants must be available on the evenings of Tuesday 18 September 2012 and Tuesday 25 September 2012 to be considered
  • Proof of sending email is not proof of receipt
  • Successful applicants will be chosen by random ballot
  • Successful applicants will be notified by email by close of play on Friday 7 September 2012
  • Places are non-transferable
  • Following notification, successful applicants will be required to confirm their attendance to us by Wednesday 12 September 2012, not doing this will result in those places being released and offered to individuals on the back-up list
  • We are sorry but we are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants
  • Successful applicant may bring one guest to accompany them to the screening, this guest may be aged 14 or over as long as one member of the party is over 18
  • Photographic ID will be checked on arrival
