Luca left Shieldinch with Jo and the kids in January 2007.
When Gina went off to Italy in search of herself she discovered Luca, who claimed to be the son of her dead husband, Franco and was trying to find more about his father's family. Luca decided to visit Shieldinch to meet his new "family". Half-sister Jo got him a job in the salon, where he was a big hit with the ladies.
He went out with Alisha for a while but his closeness to Jo got out of control. They had a relationship, resulting in Jo falling pregnant, even though she believed Luca was her half brother. When Jo discovered Luca had lied about being her brother she was furious and he was sent packing by Archie. After a few months, he came back for Jo just as she was trying to make a go of things with Billy. Luca arrived in time for her to give birth to his baby and Jo really struggled with her loyalties but, at the end of the day, love took over. Luca and Jo have run away from Shieldinch, with young Franco and baby Romeo, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
