Lewis is no longer in Shieldinch.
Lewis, a hot-shot property developer, returned to Shieldinch after a ten year absence and discovered that much had changed in the area. It was revealed that Lewis had actually commited the murder that Cormac served time for. After giving Cormac a cash pay-off, Lewis also suffered a punishment at the hands of Cormac's brother, Rory, when he was injected with a dangerously high dose of heroin.
After a fling with his ex, Eileen, Lewis's love life improved after meeting Alice Henderson. It seemed like the bad boy had reformed, but his jealousy over Alice's relationship with her ex, Billy, split them up. He's known Billy for a long time and will stop at nothing to get one over on him. He tricked compulsive gambler Billy into a bet he couldn't afford, and persuaded him to stake a night with Billy's wife, Della. Billy predictably lost, and Lewis spent the night with Della, telling her what sort of a husband she had, before leaving for London.
He returned when Della's mum, Shirley, phoned him and told him he was to be a father. He told Della all he cared about is their new family, but he told Billy that because Della had chosen Lewis, he'd won and beaten Billy. Lewis ended up the loser because Della left, taking their son Sammy with her.
