Cormac O'Sullivan

Cormac O'Sullivan

Cormac is no longer in Shieldinch.

Cormac O'Sullivan arrived in Shieldinch after his release from prison. With the help of his old friend, Lewis Cope, he found a job in the area, but little did Cormac know that Lewis only offered help to ease his own guilty conscience. When Cormac's brother, Roey, turned up in Shieldinch, it triggered a chain of events which led to the revelation that Lewis was actually responsible for the crime that Cormac had served time for. Cormac bought a share of the Tall Ship restaurant with some 'pay-off' money from Lewis.

With his good looks and a mysterious air about him, Cormac was an attraction for Ruth Rossi. However, their relationship broke down after Cormac's affair with her sister, Jo. It was some time before they got together, but when Jo was arrested for murder, Cormac confessed to Ruth what she already suspected - that he was in love with her sister. Cormac was there for Jo during the court case, but afterwards, the feud with Ruth took its toll. After being forced to pretend she'd split with Cormac for the sake of appearances, she found that her feelings for him had changed. Cormac didn't take it well, and became very bitter.

To make matters worse, just when he thought he'd found a family to replace Jo and Franco with, he lost them too. He started affair with Della, after empathising with her over the loss of baby Olivia. He thought his dreams had come true when Della announced her pregnancy, only to find out that the baby was Lewis Cope's, and Della and Lewis planned to get together.

Latterly, he fell for Alisha, but that relationship was not without its troubles, since Alisha was engaged when she got together with Cormac. Harassment from Alisha's fiance's family nearly killed him and sadly it forced Alisha to choose Zak, only to protect Cormac.

Dejected, poor Cormac packed his bags and left Shieldinch.
