It's not often these words are said round here but - poor Innes. We think he's been ignoring the doctor's advice, and Jen's concern, because he's terrified. He's a stubborn lad, but he must be gutted at having to give up boxing.
And we are loving the scenes with Scarlett and Molly. You gotta feel sorry for Big Bob: his mammy and sister fighting over him, like he's the last sack of tatties in the shop. Who'll win in the end? We reckon Molly will have a few sneaky tricks up her sleeve to keep the big man at her beck and call. Can't wait to see the feathers flying!
River City actors, Stephen Purdon and Joyce Falconer, are among the stars involved in a special pantomime performance in aid of the disaster in Haiti.
According to today's Daily Record, all profits from the evening performance of Pinnochio at the Pavilion in Glasgow on January will be donated to The Oxfam Haiti Earthquake Emergency appeal. Tickets cost £10.
Nice to hear of our River City pals doing their bit!
Jings! Is that Cupid's arrow overhead? With the amount of lusty looks floating around Shieldinch you'd think a love potion had been dropped in the water system.
The Ship's speed dating night looked like a riot, eh? Unsurprisingly Iona was well into it! We've learned to be wary of tattooed men with advances like: "You wanna touch my dragon's tail?". Iona'll be moshing at a Rage Against the Machine gig before long, we reckon.
Ruth's internet date scored highly on the hotness front, but it seemed his windsurfing chat didn't float her boat. No, a certain crimper caught Ruth's eye - what do you think about her and Gordon? Ooh!
Oooh, that fair tugged at the heart strings!
Malcolm's proposal was unexpected but wonderful! Every scene with Malcolm and Liz is just magic. Let's hope his fears are unfounded.
It's so hard to see Raymond and Iona struggle without Shona but isn't it great to see the youngest MacIntyre sister back? Iona's drunken antics remind us how much fun she is (it'd be interesting to see her and Charlie get together!) but it must've been quite a shock for Hayley and Robbie. The three of them could have a blast together if they just give each other a chance :)
And just what has Bob been up to, eh? We're watching you, Bob Adams.
If you're already yearning for a return to festive cheer, allow us to draw your attention to some sparkling stories from Johnny Beattie and Eileen McCallum. We spoke to the panto legends as they filmed the special Shieldinch Christmas show - watch their interview now!
It looks like the fake Lee's enthusiasm for his acting role is really getting on Lenny's wick now. Despite all attempts to usher the prodigal son towards a train/plane and out of Shieldinch forever, Lee's being dragged in deeper and deeper into the family. Lenny's fury, meanwhile, is rising. Mr Murdoch's losing control of the situation, and we all know this isn't a good thing.
Lovelorn Jennifer's brave move on Amber wasn't warmly received, but it seems their friendship can continue to grow. Life lessons from your upstairs neighbours don't come along that often, but it's good to see Jen's been inspired to take action and tell her folks about her sexuality.
Meanwhile, great news that Joanne's looking to a fresh start in Oz. Gina's face was a picture when the little gem of Joanne's destination emerged - she wasn't so grateful for Malcolm's pep talk after all, by the looks of things!
