Festive Greetings
I'm scooting off now to spend some quality time curled up on my sofa but I'll be back on the 5th January with more news from Shieldinch.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from everyone at River City!

Holiday time is upon us again! As you may be aware, all BBC messageboards have reduced opening hours over the festive period and River City is no exception. This year the message board will close temporarily over the holiday period and will open again for business as usual in the New Year.
You can continue to post messages as normal until 3pm on Tuesday, 23 December, at which time the message board will close. The board will reopen at 11am on Monday, 5 January and we look forward to welcoming you back then.

Three new faces will arrive in Shieldinch on Tuesday, 30 December, just in time for an explosive Hogmanay storyline! Ewan Stewart (from Rob Roy, Titanic, Looking After Jo Jo... more on imdb.com ) will join the show as Daniel McKee, his wife Marianne will be played by Frances Grey (Messiah, The Key, Vanity Fair... more on imdb) and her best friend Sammi is Samia Rida (Messages, The Basement... more on imdb). As you may have seen from the preview of next week's River City, there are some dark and dastardly deeds going down! In fact, the next two episodes will unveil a story that sees Lenny getting into a wee spot of trouble. I don't want to tell you any more here but there will be a special TV trail appearing on your screens for the next couple of weeks. It starts on TV tonight and I'll put it on the website tomorrow. I might even spoil you with some more spoilers...
The first airing of the trail is scheduled to go out before Little Dorrit tonight (around 2000 on BBC One Scotland). I hope you like it!
