The new series of Dear Green Place starts tonight on BBC One Scotland, from 2235. What's this got to do with River City, eh? Well, the lovely Carmen Pieraccini (aka our own Kelly-Marie) and the equally lovely Jenny Ryan (Tina Hunter) star in it.
Here's a glimpse of what they get up to tonight. It's a long way from Shieldinch!

No. 1 magazine have selected our David (Rory) and Chris (Ewan) to take part in their quest to find Scotland's No.1 hunk! The guys got dressed up as builders for the mag's photoshoot on Friday and I couldn't wait to show you the results. They've already been entered in the competition - you can find the contenders on the magazine's website, where you can also submit your own man's pic!

I can't help but wonder what's next for the lads - perhaps Heat's Torso Of The Week?!
Did you spot the photo of Sharon's brother in last night's show? She was publicly grieving for poor David and completely manipulated the situation to win more attention from her Rainbow. Well, here's an interesting fact: the pic Sharon had placed behind the bar is of the actress' real-life brother!

Sarah McCardie's brother Martin is one of River City's scriptwriters, as well as an actor in his own right, and this was his first appearance on the show. It was very weird for both Sarah and Paul Samson, who plays Raymond. He's one of Martin's mates!
Raymond and Sharon are engaged! Aargh! Can he not see she's a manipulative so-and-so?! Having said that, I'm loving her antics. I want to hate her but I just can't. Eileen was brilliant, too. Sharon really has met her match in that ex-wife.
As for wee Eilidh... I thought Scott would be a great dad but it does seem strange that he's been named officially on the birth certificate. Has Ruth completely forgotten about her wayward ex-husband?!
Zoe's escape from Shieldinch has really knocked the stuffing out of Rory and Nicki. I'm feeling more sorry for Nicki than rampant Rory (although I'm more than a little jealous about all that cash she's chucking about). That poor girl is going off the rails and all he can do is get plastered and jump on Iona! I don't think anyone could have predicted that pairing.
Have you seen the new copy of Scottish Woman magazine? Some of the stars of River City have graced its front cover and look incredibly glam! Jenni Keenan Green, Morag Calder, Lisa Gardner, Libby McArthur and Sarah McCardie (aka Heather, Ruth, Jo, Gina and Sharon) got all dolled up a few weeks ago for the magazine's photoshoot and you can now see the results in the shops. We're all very impressed!
