Sarah McCardie (aka Raymond's new lady, Sharon) has spoken to the Sunday Mail about her role and her showbiz family. One of her brothers is a River City scriptwriter, you know!
You can read the interview on the Sunday Mail website.
The interview contains a wee spoiler about this Tuesday's show. Be warned!
Hosh Kane, who has just joined the cast as Manu, has given an interview about his arrival in Shieldinch. The Scottish Sun reports that he is hoping his on-screen antics as a gay man will make him irresistible to women! When asked if he minds kissing men on TV (he previously played a gay character in Family Affairs), he said it didn't bother him. However, he did admit he once had to snog a DOG in a French film. Apparently "Tony [Kearney] is a better kisser. He has softer lips and better breath." That must be reassuring for Tony...
Remember we told you 'Waterloo Road' and 'Cutting It' star Jason Merrells has started directing River City? Well, his first episode aired on Tuesday (watch it on the iPlayer now!) and the fight scene we told you about in May is broadcast on Tuesday, 22 July at 2000.
Lorraine McIntosh, who played Alice in River City, has just landed a part in a new BBC Drama called 'Hope Springs'. It'll be filmed in Scotland (partly at a new set right next to Shieldinch!) and will also star Alex Kingston, Ronni Ancona, Annette Crosbie and Christine Bottomley.
You can find out a bit more about the show in this BBC News story.

Laura McMonagle (Zoe) and Ryan Fletcher (who played Vader) will appear together on stage in a new play called 365. You can find out all about it in an interview they did with the Daily Record but be warned that you'll also discover how Laura leaves River City...
Laura's exit is also revealed over on our Spoilers page.
Gilly Gilchrist, the actor who has cleverly portrayed Archie, then Douglas, then Archie pretending to be Douglas (are you keeping up?!), has spoken to the Sunday Mail about his experiences since Archie went over the cliff.
