We thought you'd like to see a couple of flyers that were made up to celebrate the anniversary episodes. We didn't show you them before in case it spoiled the story for anyone. However, you'll be pleased to know that we will be able to show you upcoming photos now on the Spoilers page.
Here are the flyers:

Today is our official fifth birthday and we are so excited! There's been loads of press surrounding Friday's brilliant anniversary episode and this morning we revealed the follow-up episode to the cast and a select group of journalists. It will air tomorrow night at 8.30pm and it's shocking! The cast got together on Thursday night to celebrate and here's the first official press pic from the shoot. We'll bring you more exclusive photos soon.

Tune in to BBC ONE Scotland tonight at 1830 BST for a birthday piece on Reporting Scotland. You can hear the writer of tomorrow's night's episode, Martin Brocklebank, with Libby McArthur (Gina) on Radio Scotland's Radio Cafe tomorrow from 1315-1400 BST.

River City took a filming break over the summer but on Monday the whole crew got back together and started shooting again. Don't worry - the show won't stop on screen, everyone worked extra hard to make sure enough episodes were filmed to keep you going.
This means that we're now filming episode 537 and we can exclusively reveal a wee bit of script from the first scene shot on Monday morning. You'll be able to watch it in November.
NICKI
What are we gonna do, Zoe?
ZOE
I don't know.
DEEK
Well you'd better think of something fast because the extra money I was counting on to cover your share hasn't come in yet.
ZOE
You're joking.
DEEK
I wish I was. I'm sorry, Zoe, but you're on your own this month.
And that's all we can show you for now but there will be more script teasers soon :)

We might have mentioned once or twice that we turn five this week but we're happy to report that the press are shouting about it, too! Here are a few articles you might like to read:
Favourite Moments in the Evening Times. We're a little biased about this feature because we got a mention ;)
Feature/Interviews in the Edinburgh Evening News.
Memorable Moments in the Daily Record.
Interview with Gilly (Archie) and some big spoilers in this Sunday Mail piece.
Memorable Storylines in the Daily Record.
and we get a mention in a Sunday Mail feature about Kari Corbett, who played Kirsty.
There's plenty more coming this week so stay glued to the press!

The very first River City episode was broadcast on Tuesday 24th September 2002 so next week we'll be celebrating our fifth birthday!
The first ever episode featured the wedding of Tommy and Eileen, which in typical soap fashion, didn’t exactly run without a hiccup. The Shieldinch residents have experienced six further marriages, four births, eleven deaths and plenty of highs and lows in between times. Celebrity fans Scott Mills and Lorraine Kelly have even had cameo appearances!

Five years on, River City is going strong, and one thing’s for sure - life is never dull in Shieldinch.
River City’s anniversary episodes will be shown on Friday 21st September at 8.30pm and Tuesday 25th September at 8.00pm on BBC One Scotland. You really shouldn't miss them cos they're some of the most powerful scenes ever seen on the show...
