On Friday (29th June, 8.30pm), Shirley will get a glimpse of Robert's true colours but on Tuesday (double bill, 3rd July, 8pm) just as it looks like she's falling for his patter again, life in Shieldinch takes a terrifying turn. Robert scares Shirley so she runs home but he follows, lets himself in and takes her and Nicki hostage.

It's a shocking, dramatic episode... and we're not going to tell you how it ends ;)

Johnny Beattie, who plays Malcolm, has been appointed an MBE in the latest Honours List!

Here's what Johnny has said about his commendation:

"I am obviously delighted to be receiving this MBE, as are all of my family - it's a rare excuse for a party down in London. I am just wondering if, after 55 years in the business, this may simply be just for good attendance……and just wait until Malcolm Hamilton hears about it - I'll be the talk of Shieldinch!"
