As some of River City's most clued-up fans know, the show's just had a filming break of three months so the cast and most of the production team got a very long Christmas holiday! (Don't worry, it doesn't affect your viewing pleasure because they worked extra-hard to make sure there were enough episodes completed before they finished up.) But you'll be pleased to know the whole team got back together again a couple of weeks ago and they're hard at work once again, filming scenes you'll see from April.
The break coincided with a lot of demolition work happening nearby (nope, that doesn't mean we've lost any of the set!) so the whole landscape's changed quite dramatically. You can now glimpse more of the famous Shieldinch tenements from the street so watch out next time you're in Dumbarton.
And, talking of the set, the demand for our tours has been overwhelming! They're now fully booked until July so if you do want to take advantage of a free visit to Shieldinch, check this out, pronto!
