The Rules
- The Nick Clarke award will cover interviews conducted between 31st July 2008 and 31st July 2009.
- Each programme wishing to enter can nominate only one interview per presenter/interviewer.
- There is no stipulation regarding length but the interview must be submitted exactly as it was broadcast.
- For the Nick Clarke Award, Internet only interviews will not be allowed.
- Closing date for submissions will be August 4th 2009.
- Entry forms can be obtained from the address below or from gillian.dear@bbc.co.uk.
- One copy of the interview submitted will be sent on DVD/CD along with one copy of the entry form to the following address:
- There is no entry fee.
- The judging. A number of panels will listen to the submissions and a final shortlist will be drawn up. The judges will come from the BBC and other broadcast organisations. In September the final panel will meet and choose a single winner only.
- The Prize. The winner will be announced and presented at this year's Times Cheltenham Literature Festival.
- The winner will receive a dozen bottles of good Claret - which Nick himself would have enjoyed.
