We're delighted to see some Radio 4 names in this year's New Year Honours List.
Nicholas Parsons, host of Just a Minute for over 40 years, received an OBE in 2004 and has now been awarded a CBE. Parsons remarked without hesitation or deviation that he was "flattered and delighted" to receive it.
Sandi Toksvig, host of The News Quiz, has received an OBE. She added that "Broadcasting is a team effort and I would like to pay tribute to all the writers, production and technical staff I've worked with over the years."
Former Archers editor Vanessa Whitburn has been awarded an OBE, for services to radio drama. Vanessa retired earlier this years after 22 years at the helm of the programme, making her the longest serving Archers editor.
