Show Notes: Floods, YouTube, Middle East Youth and Virals
You can listen to the audio of the last programme on the 7-day archive here. Tonights show was re-arranged a little to make room for our flood coverage:
- We ran audio of a couple of YouTube videos by people affected
- Ed Vaizey MP who blogged about getting caught in the floods spoke to us
- Trained civil-engineer and journalist Nina Lovelace of the Local Government Chronicle blog told us how in her view flood preparedness hadn't changed much since 2000
- Cheltenham Borough Council get the message out via free blogging software. Looks like a good idea to me
- The CNN Democratic Candidates debate with questions from YouTube. The Utube blog reacted
- Our look at the Britblog Round-up do take a look and click on the links. Rachel North's post can be read here. It is a tremendously brave post, and I deeply admire her spirit and courage in writing it. You have won Rachel
- Mideastyouth.org is a fascinating group blogging project that produces some great podcasts too
- And lastly a report from one of the winning teams at the Germ2 viral awards. The winning video is below. Don't try this at home.
