Kearnaye

My name is Kearnaye, and with some peers from my school I visited the set of the Daily Politics show; there we got to make a mini replica of the actual show that was then “premiered” in our school for all pupils to see. I wanted to be the presenter of the show because I really enjoy being on camera and felt I was great for the role! I had a really great time and learnt so much about what it is like in the TV industry. It is something I would definitely recommend and I would love to do it again.

Danae

My name is Danae and I’d like to tell you about my day out to the set of The Daily Politics. It was such a brilliant experience; I felt what it was like to be on live television. For me, the highlight of the trip was being able to see how crazy a day working at the BBC is! The workers there are always on their feet, and always busy. I’d definitely love to work in the television industry. I really enjoyed the day, and would really like to do it again. Thank you to the people that were with my friends and I on the day, and made the day special.

*Kearnaye and Danae took part in one of the BBC Outreach Programme Maker for a Day workshops, which sees young people visiting the production teams of well known BBC programmes. They learn about what it is like to work on the show they're visiting before creating a short version of the show with suport from BBC staff.
