In honour of Tuesday’s (7th June) 6 Music Recommends Day we thought we’d hand over the job of recommending music to YOU the listener.
Over the course of the day, 15 presenters each had an hour to play the new music they are listening to at the moment, a 15-hour new music spree if you will. If you were listening you would have heard 6music’s presenters play tracks from their favourite new bands – see and listen again to all of their picks and exclusives plus videos of the sessions from Spring King and Michael Kiwanuka here..

So over to you…if there’s a band that’s exciting you this summer, we want to hear them.
You know that moment when you hear a new record for the first time and just have to share it with somebody –friends, family, the woman behind the counter at the post office. Whether it’s someone you’ve been following since the very beginning, or the debut gig you’ve just bought tickets for. That’s what inspired 6 Music Recommends day and that’s what we want from you.
You pick the tracks, so get your new music suggestions to Tom via Twitter using #6MusicRecommends to help create a playlist. Comment on the Now Playing Facebook page, here on the blog, email nowplaying@bbc.co.uk or drag tracks onto our Spotify playlist.
