#Scream6Music - help pick the Ultimate Primal Scream Playlist

It’s hard to believe that its been over 30 years since Primal Scream first formed in Glasgow, yet anyone who’s heard brand new album More Light or caught their recently celebratory tour of Screamadelica (complete with DJ set from the mercurial producer and 6 Mix resident Andrew Weatherall) will know their energy remains undimmed after three decades at rock’s coalface.

As Bobby Gillespie sits in for Jarvis this weekend and we broadcast the band live in concert from Liverpool on Saturday night as part of BBC Radio 5 Live’s Big Day Out, we thought what better opportunity for you to pick the ultimate Primal Scream Playlist?

It could be:

* Bands who’ve inspired them: Thin Lizzy, Velvet Underground, Joy Division and PIL amongst others

* The dance producers they’ve worked with: from David Holmes, The Chemical Brothers, The Orb… and not forgetting Mr Weatherall himself

* Collaborators - New Order, Kevin Shields, Robert Plant even Kate Moss!

* Contemporaries - The Stone Roses, The Jesus & Mary Chain or maybe some other tunes from the Creation Records back catalogue?

* And acts who’ve been influenced by The Scream today – perhaps Peace or Jagwar Ma?

You choose the music so let us know what you want us to play by commenting on Facebook or here on the blog, Tweet #Scream6music, email us at nowplaying@bbc.co.uk or add a track onto our collaborative Spotify Playlist.
