From the Foos to the Flos, you know how it goes. You’re in one of the biggest bands in the world, you’re rocking out on stage in Sweden just a couple of weeks before you headline the world’s greatest festival, and then you fall off stage and break your leg. No Glastonbury this year.
That’s what happened to Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters but it’s moments like these that give someone else a chance to step up in superhero fashion to save the day. Florence & The Machine this is your moment.
Yup Flo and her machine have stepped in to replace The Foos in what will be their first Glastonbury headline performance, so this week’s show just has to be an ultimate Florence & The Machine playlist.

We’re looking for the bands that inspired the F&TM sound, think Fleetwood Mac, Kate Bush, and even Frankie Knuckles. What about the bands and artists that they have collaborated with? think Dizzee Rascal, The xx and even Rihanna. And what about artists that Florence has covered, fancy popping a bit of Drake in the playlist? We’re up for it.
Just a thought, you might want to throw in a bit of Pulp, Gorillaz or Basement Jaxx into the mix. All of those have had to step in to fill the void of a Glastonbury headliner who couldn’t make it.
You pick the music so help us build that ultimate Florence and the Machine playlist via the hashtag #Florence6Music on Twitter. You can also comment on the Now Playing Facebook page, here on the blog, drop some suggestions on our Instagram, email [email protected] or drag tracks onto our Spotify playlist. We read each and every one, we’re *literally all over the net.
*Not actually literally.
