#Inspire6Music - what should make our ultimate inspirational playlist?

What music inspires you?

There’s been lots of talk this week about what songs inspire our favourite athletes at the 2016 Olympics, and it gave us the idea for a playlist of tracks which inspire you – whatever you’re doing.

If you’ve been inspired by the action on the track, you might like to take up our challenge to run 6K with 6Music

But on this week’s Now Playing you don’t have to be sporty to be part of the show. We’re looking for your most inspiring track suggestions, however they galvanise you, to make up our #Inspire6music playlist.

Maybe there’s a song that inspires you to make art, helped you get psyched for a tricky job interview, or to meet your parents-in-law for the first time.

Massive Attack, Stormzy and the Spice Girls all feature in Olympic gold medallist Jessica Ennis-Hill’s favourite training tunes

Belle and Sebastian must have been feeling very Olympic the day they penned their unofficial theme for the 2016 Rio Games, ‘Olympic Village 6am’.

"Belle and Sebastian dig the Olympics, love the Olympic ideal, love that the world gets together for a big 'sports day' once every four years.Stuart Murdoch

Plus London 2012 gold medal winner and unapologetic mod Sir Bradley Wiggins makes no secret of his love for The Smiths, The Jam and David Bowie.

So if you’re feeling inspired by music this summer, or by the superhuman feats being showcased in Rio, help us create the ultimate inspirational playlist.

You choose the music, so get your recommendations for inspiring jams to Tom via the hashtag #Inspire6Music and help build the playlist. Comment on the Now Playing Facebook page, here on the blog, email nowplaying@bbc.co.uk or drag tracks onto our Spotify playlist.
