I think Mark may be accused of lots of things but of all the critics I am aware of he has gone the furthest to examine his objectivity in the light of his political views. I would direct SUPERG to Mark's recent book "it's only a movie" and his descriptions of his initial and subsequent viewing of Blue Velvet.
For me Mark has made the journey and done the work with regard to objectivity.
