the bow-tie thing made me laugh out loud. not just out loud, but in a rather goofish deep way that made me suddenly wonder if anyone heard me from outside the room. also, i feel i should mention that the WALL-E dvd case does the same thing as your ticket and i was playing with that for hours.

I came away from the Kermodes with a torn ticket i had printed myself - hopefully the coffee was fair trade - no nescafe/nestle for the kermodes......

it was the worsted film of the year, Johnny Depp gets on my nerves and should stay on teenage girls walls where he belongs, plus he cant sing to save his life.

Enjoyed The Kermodes on The Culture Show Mark. I was especially pleased that Michael Fassbender was awarded Best Actor. A very worthy winner I thought.



However, I was a bit miffed at the comments about Our Kate. While I won't argue about the fact that her Golden Globes acceptance speeches were indeed cringe-worthy, I thought your sweeping statement of "Everyone is secretly hoping Angelina Jolie wins the Oscar" was going a bit too far. I am hoping Kate wins it mostly for the fact that she should of won it a few years ago for Eternal Sunshine, so its about time The Academy corrected their mistake.



As for Angelina (One note)Jolie, well I seem to recall you saying some rather unflattering things about both her acting and her appearance in the past. But strangely you seem to have changed your opinion about her, after she said your hair was cool on The Culture Show. It would seem that flattery does indeed get you everywhere! : )

Not that I blame you in any way Mark. I am sure most men when confronted by Angelina Jolie telling them they had great hair, would also turn to mush! : ) xxx
