But did my eyes and ears deceive me? They didn't let you get a word in edgeways!! How many times has that happened.

I heard on the radio that Davies finds himself in rather straightened circumstance, financially. Yet, he is, as you say a national treasure. If Davies was French he’d have a pension the size of a City bonus, a subsidised apartment on the Champs Elysée full of adoring acolytes and a filmography as long as your arm. We are far too neglectful of our great artisits in the UK. I think we should set up a fund for him or at least implore everyone to buy the DVDs . Then we should all write to John Woodward, CEO of the UK Film Council and tell him to fund Terence Davies to make a film and when he’s finished it, fund him to make another one. That's what the Film Council is for, or should be.
