"I put this mix on when my mates and I had our debauched, bacchanalian house warming a couple of months ago. I spend ages agonising over playlists but coming up with my tracks for this was surprisingly easy. I’m a huge dance music fan, just as obsessive about 70’s disco as I am about 90’s house, techno and pop music. Friday is always my favourite day listening to the show, so it would be a dream to hear my selections played out!

In fact I’m repurposing some of these tracks for my Ibiza holiday. Me and most of my mates are turning 30 this year, so 20 of us have rented a villa there at the end of next week. So I'll be needing a rather special pool party playlist."

• Patrice Rushen – Forget Me Nots: Sampled on Will Smith’s Men in Black. Banish the memory of that and enjoy it in it’s untainted, original form!
• Donna Summer – Last Dance: You CAN NOT have a disco without Donna Summer!
• Boris Dlugosch ft Roisin Murphy – Never Enough: Divine early noughties collab from my favourite dance diva.
• Everything But The Girl – Missing (Todd Terry Single Version): Timeless crossover hit takes me back to my school days
• Kelis with Richard X – Finest Dreams: Ingenious mash up of The Human League & The SOS Band from a decade ago still sounds super fresh!
• Hot Chip – Ready For the Floor: Originally written for Kylie who rejected it dontcha know! They recorded it themselves and had their biggest hit!
• Grace Jones – My Jamaican Guy: Never gets played as much as Pull Up to The Bumper, but just as danceable!
• Classixx – All You’re Waiting For: Reminds me of driving through Laguna Beach on my California road trip last summer
• Crazy P – Sunshine: Musical Prozac from one of my favourite bands. They put on an incredible live show & Danielle Moore is a goddess.
• Diana Ross – No-one Gets The Prize: Diana’s Disco phase. Need I say more?
• Basement Jaxx – Good Luck: They often open their live shows with this stomping break up anthem
• Sneaky Sound System – 16 (Flight Facilities Remix): Hugely Underrated, Connie Mitchell’s voice is astounding. This remix is perfection.
• Yazoo – Situation: An 80’s classic! I’ll always remember dancing to this on the roof at Space in Ibiza circa 2007
• Peaches – I Feel Cream: My very favourite Peaches track, produced by Drums of Death (and pretty much expletive free!)
• Todd Terje – Inspector Norse: Quite simply the best underground dance track of the last 2 years
• Nneka – Shining Star (Joe Goddard Remix): Probably my favourite remix EVER. This should have been huge!
• Madonna – Lucky Star: Or anything from her first album really. JUST BECAUSE!!!
