Slowburn? This is anything but **pushes glasses up bridge of nose**. Howling Bells absolute burst onto the scene – it’s a cliché, but we like it – back in that there 2006 with single ‘Low Happening; from the self-titled debut album. Ever since, they’ve been stirring away and taking a break and are now back with brand new material. ‘Slowburn’ is the first track from the as yet unnamed fourth album, recorded at London’s Assault and Battery Studios, and set for release in June. Vocalist Juanita Stein says of the song: “I feel it perfectly captures the immense conviction and passion the band have. The song explores the idea that some of us effortlessly glide to the surface, whilst others simmer away quietly.” Indeed!
