Kickball Katy certainly has been busy since Vivian Girls went their separate ways in January, soldiering on with solo project La Sera. Their new album Hour Of The Dawn is due out 13th May and ‘Running Wild’ follows previous single ‘Losing To The Dark’. Kickball says: "I wanted the new La Sera record to sound like Lesley Gore fronting Black Flag. I didn't want it to be another record of me sad, alone in my room. I wanted to have fun playing music and writing songs with a band." And we’re really not too sure where she found the time to release two previous full length LPs and form a side project with Cat Power's Gregg Foreman named All Saints Day. But long may the riffing continue.
