The site originally launched as a result of having difficulty finding a free, simple and effective way to find a band to join online.
App of the week – Traktor DJ, iOS
Traktor DJ for iPhone mimics its iPad counterpart by ditching virtual decks in favour of waveforms and a host of DJing features. You can view both decks simultaneously, adjust the size of each waveform allowing you to set loops, scratch and other effects and mark cue points for live re-editing.
Gadget of the week – Lumix FT5
This digital camera can film 1080p video and is waterproof to a depth of 13 metres and can survive drops of 2 metres. It also has an altimeter for climbers and hydro-barometer, which measures underwater depth. It also has a Wi-Fi remote control.
