Matthew Caws of Nada Surf and Juliana Hatfield, who has released solo material as well as being a part of Blake Babies, The Juliana Hatfield Three and Some Girls have joined forces. In 2008, Caws added guest vocals to Hatfield’s song ‘Such a Beautiful Girl’ and following this, the two joined forces – a bit like what superheroes do - to record together under the name Minor Alps. And the result was last year’s album Get There, of which this free download is cut from. Aside from drummer Parker Kindred on drums, the pair play every instrument and conjure every sound on the record, from “primitive electro dub pulse to straight-up indie guitar hooks”. And you can catch them at the following dates: 23th April- ABCO2 in Glasgow, 24th The Roadhouse in Manchester, 25th The Shacklewell Arms in London, Bermuda Triangle in Brighton on 26th and coming back to London at The Islington on 27th April.
