Welcome back! We trust you're feeling fresh following the Bank Holiday bonanza. The first blog of the month brings you the return of the MPFree and the return of one of summer 2009's slow burning success stories.

Lumped in with the 'Chill Wave' scene, Washed Out, aka one time bedroom dabbler Ernest Green, produced the feel good airplay hit 'Feel It All Around' which received a fair amount of 6 Music support last year.

Now signed to Sub Pop (Domino Records in the UK) he's preparing to unleash his debut album proper, Within and Without in July. Please enjoy 'Eyes Be Closed'.

Elsewhere we welcome in Aloe Blacc for the first session of May, in to perform and talk about his new single 'I Need A Dollar', and Stuart Dredge returns with more app-based news and reviews.
