More details here. As that article states, it's a shame that Dewey was probably better known as Joshua's dad rather than as an artist in his own right.More on Dewey at Wikipedia.

Post your commentMr Redman will be sorely missed by all followers of the 'TORRENTS OF HATE' school of jazzy improvisation. Dewey is perhaps best known for his 'Terrier Shaking A Rat' tenor playing.
Still, it's good to know that whilst the genuinely avant garde musicians of the 1960s are rapidly dropping off planet earth, the ART OF JAZZ CRITICISM lives on...
