This week's Sunday Service saw Jarvis broadcast his show L L Live from Paris, so we decided to adopted a French theme. Because of this we couldn't get a signed track list from Jarvis, so instead, as we don't want you going away empty handed, we've got two brilliant interviews for you.
The first is the interview from a couple of weeks back with Adam Curtis. Adam joined Jarvis to talk about his latest project, where he's researching the history of the West's relationship to Afghanistan over the past 200 years and also his multimedia project It Felt Like A Kiss. Adam came armed with audio recordings of the one and only rock festival to ever happen in Kabul.
Second up is Jarvis' interview with Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey who was in talking about his art and music, the influences behind it and reminiscing about growing up through the not so glamorous 80's.
Thank You so very much for finally posting something on this blog....and not exactly a "small" amount of "goodies" either!...Very much appreciated! Once again Thank You! XX Miss Jarvis's scribbled setlist though...hope there'll be one up after tomorrow's Sunday Service! :)
As always very much enjoy Jarvis's wonderful Sunday Services...which aren't just good for Sundays....they're good company for everyday of the week...with all the beautiful music, interesting interviews etc and not forgetting Jarvis's own talk and interesting thoughts in between...all in an "amazingly magical" mix to brighten any dull day... Certainly well worth listening to more than once only!...
As I'm writing this on the Saturday I am very much looking forward to tomorrow's Sunday Service...Never used to look forward to Sundays before...now they've turned into the highlight of the week thanks to Jarvis and his beautiful Sunday Services!
Have sadly just discovered that "It Felt Like A Kiss" can't viewed here in Sweden, just like any other BBC videos... :( Shame, as I really would have liked to have seen that...same as the Jarvis Cocker videos... Really sad... :(
