ARCTIC DEEP SEA JAMMA

Tom Assistant Producer|14:03 UK time, Sunday, 4 April 2010

Whilst enjoying a relaxing Easter weekend we thought it would be only right to give you a welcomed break from all the Easter egg munching and offer you a treat of a different kind. This is the first of Jarvis' Jamma sessions which see's him team up with Max Eastley on the improvisation of a piece written by Ian McEwan after a trip to the Arctic. McEwan was part of a CapeFarwell expedition, which aims to pioneer cultural responses to climate change, a trip Jarvis and Max have subsequently been on.

On his trip Max used underwater microphones to record the sounds of sea lions under the water which he attempts to recreate in this piece.

Enjoy!
